Hyundai has declassified its new compact crossover Venue, which has become the smallest SUV in the line of the South Korean brand. The public premiere of the car took place as part of the motor show in New York. In the model range Hyundai novelty took place a step below Creta.
The car is focused on the youth audience and in the future should become a global brand model. Venue sales start is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year. Car prices will be announced later.
The length of the crossover is 4036 mm, width – 1770 mm, and height – 1564 mm. The size of the wheelbase is equal to 2520 millimeters. The luggage compartment at the Venue is 530 liters. When folded second-row seats, this figure increases to 903 liters. The design of the crossover got the features of Santa Fe and Kona. The car comes with a chrome Kona style grille, unusual-shaped LED optics, and 15 or 17-inch wheels to choose from. Customers will be offered a two-color body with a contrasting roof.
The novelty is equipped with a multimedia system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch touchscreen display, a navigation system and a rear-view camera. An emergency braking system, a blind spot monitoring system, a parking assistance system and a lane restraint system are available to the driver.
The crossover is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine. The engine works in conjunction with a six-speed manual gearbox or CVT. Power unit Venue is not called. The crossover is only offered with no alternative front wheel drive.
