The Chevrolet S10 pickup truck is on sale in the South American market. Cars of the current generation have been known here since 2012, and the restyling carried out became the second for the model.
After the update, the Chevrolet S10 pickup retained its usual body options: a pickup with a single-row or double-row cab and a chassis without a loading platform. There are five trim levels available for purchase: LS, Advantage, LT, LTZ and High Country.
The pickup was updated in the same way as the Chevrolet Colorado (the restyled pickup for the USA survived a month ago). The differences between the models can be found in their appearance. So, for example, different radiator grilles, a front bumper with a silver insert, etc. The S10 in the top-end modification gets black decor and a new bumper.
During the upgrade, multimedia with a touchscreen was improved by eight inches. Now she knows how to update software remotely, interacts with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and, if necessary, will warn the car owner about the need to visit the service via WhatsApp.
The manufacturer did not touch the motor range. These are the former 2.5-liter gasoline “aspirated” and the modified 2.8-liter turbodiesel. The role of KP is played here by a manual gearbox or 6-speed automatic transmission. The drive is either rear or rigidly connected full. But the list of equipment was revised. Now all versions of the pickup get access to six airbags at once. As an option, buyers will be offered an automatic braking system operating at speeds up to 80 km / h. Such a useful assistant is able to identify both cars and pedestrians.
In the Brazilian market, the cost of the updated Chevrolet S10 starts at 125,000 reais. The most equipped pickup will cost R $ 213,000.
Meanwhile, the elongated Chevrolet Blazer has got a budget modification. To make the model cheaper, the number of seats was reduced to five. In addition, the list of available options has been corrected. The release of such a car will help the brand to compete more successfully with Chinese state employees.
