The Chinese automaker Chery, despite its not always positive experience of creating sub-brands, intends to offer buyers a new brand, which will deal with the production of premium cars. It is this niche, according to the media of China, will take a new subbrand.

Recall that at one time Chery did not skimp on subsidiaries with ambitious plans, but only one achieved success – Karry. This brand still supplies low-cost LCVs to the market. But the subbands of Rely and Riich did not even exist for three years.

Only in the summer Chery presented Jetour cars on the home market (this sub-brand set a course for young people) and now again preparing for the next replenishment.

It is reported that Exeed cars will go to Chinese dealers as early as next year. The new subbrand was named after the conceptual version of the Chery Exeed TX crossover, shown last year. The serial version of this car will be the first model of the new brand. SUV, which will be able to make a serious competition to the brands Wey and Lynk&Co, has not yet stood on the conveyor. In China, this model will be known as Exeed TLX.

It is also known that, unlike the prototype, the product crossover will have no single front-wheel drive. As a motor, Chinese motorists will be offered a 197-hp 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine, paired with a robotized gearbox. Concept Exeed was equipped with a hybrid power plant. So, perhaps, in time, the hybrid TLX will appear.
