Actually, heavier cars often do have higher emissions due to their larger engines and poor fuel efficiency. The idea might be to gently push people towards using lighter, more fuel-efficient cars.

I reckon it’s a bold move from Paris. Yeah, it’s tough on the wallet, but if it helps the planet even a bit, isn’t it worth a try? Things have to change for the better at some point.
