Porsche has published the latest episode from the Top 5 series, which deals with the five best models of the brand in the opinion of the chairman of the supervisory board of producer Wolfgang Porsche. The clip is timed to the 75th anniversary of the top manager.
The fifth place is occupied by the successor of Porsche 356 – 911. Namely the version of Turbo S (993), over the appearance of which the brother of Wolfgang Ferdinand worked. He always insisted that the stylistics of the 911 should remain conservative. Porsche notes that the Turbo S in all respects is a unique model: it is one of the last Porsche equipped with an air-cooled engine and it has a very good sound.
The next line in the list of the best models is the Carrera GT. The model was equipped with a 5.7-liter V10 engine, which produced 611 horsepower and 590 Nm of torque. From the place to 100 km/h the supercar was accelerated in 3.9 seconds. Its maximum speed was 334 kilometers per hour.
In third place is a hybrid hatchback Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid: one of the most advanced models of Porsche to date. The total output of the power plant sports car is 680 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. Up to 100 km/h it is capable of accelerating in 3.4 seconds.
The second place went to the 1952 Porsche 356 America Roadster, a model designed specifically for the American market. The car was equipped with a small roof in case of rain, but since in California rain was a rarity, the sport car was moved only with an open top.
The best model of the Porsche in the opinion of Wolfgang Porsche is the 356 Carrera 2000. The true “wolf in sheep’s clothing,” the real features of which can only be revealed by sitting behind the wheel.
Earlier in the series of Top 5 commercials Porsche spoke about the best sports cars with air cooling, cars with the best acceleration, the five lightest and most important cars in the history of the brand.
