Volkswagen plant in Hanover produced a 10 millionth car

63 years after the start of production at the factory in Hanover, the commercial Volkswagen models off-line the 10 millionth car. The jubilee copy was a Caravelle T6 minivan, painted in red and white.

The car was donated to the Hannover Children’s Hospital Auf Der Bult. Production at the plant in Hannover began 63 years ago – on March 8, 1956, when the production of the T1 minivan was started, in common with the nickname Bulli. In addition to several generations of the T-series, the plant produced models of the LT series, Taro pickups, and at one time Beetle.

Currently, the plant in Hanover produces T6 series cars and is about to begin assembling an updated version of T6.1. The main enterprise Volkswagen for the production of commercial vehicles employs about 14.5 thousand people.
