The Volkswagen T-Cross compact crossover will debut on October 25, 2018 and take a place one step below the T-Roc model.
Volkswagen will revealed the new compact crossover T-Cross on October 25th. According to Motor1, the car should be shown to the public at the Sao Paulo Auto Show in early November. European car sales will start early next year.
The new crossover will be built on the MQB A0 platform, on which, in particular, the sixth generation Polo is built. The length of the car will be 4 107 mm. Thus, the novelty will take place on a step below the T-Roc model. The closest competitor to the Volkswagen T-Cross will be the Nissan Juke.
Depending on the market, customers will be offered different motors. In Europe, the car will be available with petrol engines of 1.0 and 1.5 liters. Also, the crossover will be equipped with a 1.6-liter diesel engine. Power units will be from 95 to 150 hp Transmissions – six-speed manual or robotized transmission with two clutches. The car will be offered only with a front-wheel drive system.
The crossover uses a number of stylistic solutions of the concept car of the same name, presented in 2016 at the Paris Motor Show. A fully digital dashboard and a multimedia complex with a large touch screen will appear inside the car. The driver will have access to a wireless charging station for a smartphone, a system for preventing frontal collisions, as well as the function of adhering to the number of movements.
