Fresh spy video shows the readiness of the Czech manufacturer to update its bestseller in the near future.
The video shows a pre-production prototype station wagon Skoda Octavia 2017 model year, driving at night road in the Czech Republic. Of course, this is not the best video, but even it is possible to notice some changes.
Immediately can be seen that the refreshed Octavia Combi has received new tail lights with C-shaped graphics. License plate light uses LED technology, while the indicator light on the mirror on the driver indicates the presence of blind spots monitoring systems.
Head optics looks rather peculiar and simple, though partially covered by a camouflage wrap. Most likely it justifies the rumors that the restyling Octavia receive a “split” design of headlights, but distinct from the recently introduced Skoda Kodiaq crossover pattern. It is not excluded that now buyers can get model for an additional fee fully LED optics.
Power rangesupposedly, will include the motors current version of the model. It is possible that the motor of 1,8 liters may be replaced by a two-liter with derated up to 180 hp capacity in order to save fuel.
The Czech edition reported that the debut of the updated Skoda Octavia will be held early next month, and November 1, Czech dealers will begin taking orders for the new product. Although, the assembly model will not begin until February 2017. In April, the conveyor will deliver Scout and vRS version, and a top 245 vRS gets to the assembly line in May with an increase of 15 hp capacity compared to the current 230 vRS.
The nearest novelty of Skoda will Kodiaq crossover public debut will take place in a few days at the Paris Motor Show.
