The engineers have refined the chassis and aerodynamics of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, using the experience of the factory racing team and some solutions of the upcoming GT500 top model.
The Mustang GT350 2019 model year was re-tuned suspension MagneRide, installed new springs and shock absorbers with magnetotherological fluid. Changes are made to the algorithms of the electric power steering, stabilization system and Brembo brakes. Sportcar received six-piston mechanisms in the front and four-piston rear, and 19-inch wheels of increased rigidity, shod in the tires Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 size 295/35 front and 305/35 rear. By the way, the rubber is also improved by optimizing the composition of the mixture.
The aerodynamics of the car was improved by replacing the rear spoiler with a full-fledged rear wing, which can be upgraded with the Gurney flap flange to increase the downforce. Also, front air intakes were redesigned. The changes introduced improved the stability of the car in turns and added speeds on straight sections.
Engine oil mask is not touched. Recall, in the under-hood space Shelby GT350 is V8 Voodoo with capacity of 5.2 liters with a return of 533 hp and 582 Nm in combination with a 6-speed manual transmission Tremec.
For an additional fee, the coupe can now be equipped with a high-end Harman audio system with 12 speakers. No wonder the manufacturer claims that Shelby oilcars are suitable for daily use.
The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is designed for the United States market, which sells at a starting price of 57,000 dollars.
By the way, sales of Mustang in the US in recent years are significantly reduced, perhaps, the release of new versions of the manufacturer intends to deal with the recession. So, for example, in 2015, 122,439 such cars were sold in the US market, but in 2016 there were 105,932 pieces, and in 2017 sales fell to 81,866 units. During the first four months of 2018, the company managed to sell 26,289 vehicles, while in January-April 2017 sales amounted to 30,527.
