In fact, the Dodge Ram T-Rex 6×6 can be called the American equivalent of the 6-wheel performance of the Gelandewagen (Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6). Dodge’s pickup truck was powered by an 8.0-liter V10 engine with 497 hp. (804 Nm). Its carrying capacity was 2,267 kg, and the weight of the towed trailer could be up to 11,793 kg.

Back in 1996, representatives of the company Dodge was presented an interesting concept of a 6-wheeled truck with 6×6 wheel formula. The car was shown at the SEMA tuning exhibition. The pickup was built on the basis of the Ram 3500. Under its hood was an 8.0-liter V10 engine with 497 hp. (804 Nm), which was connected to a four-speed automatic transmission. The car received front and rear transfer case, air suspension, as well as a load capacity of 2,267 kg, the car could tow a trailer weighing 11,793 kg.

According to the ex-president of Chrysler, Bob Lutz, the T-Rex pickup concept was conceived as “the world’s first passenger car with a 6×6 wheel formula designed for personal use.”

Speaking at the presentation of the car in Las Vegas, Mr. Lutz was confident in the truck’s capabilities: “We think that T-Rex can overtake, remove, outwit, carry or move all its competitors, and do it with much more comfort for the driver” .

While the Dodge Ram T-Rex 6×6, unfortunately, has not yet entered production, a powerful pickup truck, similar in spirit, will soon appear. We are talking about the Ram Rebel TRX, which is going to go against the Ford F-150 Raptor and which is equipped with a powerful Hellcat engine with a power of 707 horsepower not yet confirmed.
