There were pictures of a brand new Renault ZoeMarch 15, 2019
It is known that the French novelty will be presented before the end of this year, and the start of sales is scheduled for the beginning of the next.
Looking at the overall situation in the automotive industry, it can be assumed that traditional internal combustion engines will soon completely give way to electrical installations. Although in reality this is not entirely true, even despite the fact that almost every automaker in the world currently uses electrification anyway.
French Renault, which is currently testing a second-generation Zoe electric car on public roads, also wants to join these companies.
It is reported that the novelty was seen on the roads of Northern Europe. Interestingly, the shape of the trial machine almost completely coincides with the current version of Zoe. Unfortunately, the dense camouflage does not allow us to see everything that happens with the body of the novelty, but it seems that the electric car will still be slightly larger than its predecessor.
The similarity between the two versions of one car is striking – for example, the shape of the headlights is very similar. Ahead, we see a larger Renault logo surrounded by smoother headlights that probably got LED technology. Of course, at this early stage of testing, some of our assumptions may not be entirely true.
Initial details about the power plant of the new Zoe suggest that it will receive a 50 kWh battery, providing a 400 km power reserve (measurements were made according to WLTP standards). A significant improvement in charging speed must occur thanks to the new technology of 100 kW CCS2. We expect peak power to be somewhere around 150 hp.
