There are details about the new version of the Koenigsegg Agera RSJanuary 5, 2019
It is known that the new modification of the Swedish hypercar Koenigsegg Agera RS will be released in a limited edition of 125 copies. The name Ragnarok associated with Norse mythology is not likely to be applied to this car.
The Swedish maker of powerful hypercars, Koenigsegg, is preparing another version of its hypercar, the Agera RS. According to our colleagues, from the Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri, the new product will be limited to only 125 units.
The official presentation should take place at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, which in turn will begin its work in March of this year.
It is known that the new model will be lighter and more powerful than its predecessor – Koenigsegg Agera RS. The latter boasts a weight of only 1,315 kg and a maximum power of 1,300 horsepower. Under the hood, this version of the hypercar is a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The maximum speed of the Koenigsegg Agera RS is 444.6 km / h. There is no doubt that the more powerful performance of the Agera RS, which apparently will not receive the name Ragnarok, will be equipped with a fully carbon-fiber body, with the best aerodynamic performance.
Of course, the high speed that a Swedish hypercar can develop will undoubtedly cost significantly more than $ 2,000,000, which is asked for the Agera RS. However, the high price of the model does not seem to deter wealthy buyers, and the guys from Dagens Industri claim that the Swedish automaker already has orders for more than half of the planned production volume of the novelty.
A few days ago, our publication wrote that the bespoke Koenigsegg Agera RS1 hypercar costs 10 million dollars.
