Atelier Carlex Design showed the completion of the roadster Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda
The Polish studio Carlex Design has presented the project of completion of the roadster Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda, produced in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. The car completely changed the interior and installed a chest for things behind the front seats, and a special compartment with picnic items in the trunk.
The salon of the Mercedes is trimmed with brown leather of two shades with a deliberately rough stitching. In this case, the interior is finished with leather completely – this material can be found not only on the seats, the steering wheel, the gear lever and the center console, but also on the doors, thresholds, racks, sun visors. Even the floor of the car is tightened by the skin.
On the front doors appeared small leather portfolios instead of door pockets, behind the front seats – a massive trunk for things, and in the trunk is now installed a special compartment, which stores glasses, plates, cutlery and everything necessary for outdoor recreation.
One of his last works was the pick Carlex Design Mercedes-Benz X-Class, which added wheels and grille of the Mercedes-Maybach S650, and carbon-fiber body kit and exclusive interior trim.
