The company Nissan marked the sale of a 100-thousand copy of Leaf release of the experimental version of the electric car with the body “targa”
The company Nissan has presented the experimental version of the second-generation Leaf electric car – with an open top. The concept car was released to mark the 100,000th copy of the serial Leaf sold in the Japanese market.
Unlike the commercial electric hatchback, the prototype Leaf Open Car received a body type “targa” with two doors. At the same time, the automaker did not provide data, for example, on structural rigidity and overturn protection.
Standard Nissan Leaf of the second generation is equipped with an electric motor that produces 150 hp, and a battery pack for 40 kilowatt-hours. The hatchback is capable of accelerating from a place to 100 km / h in 8.2 seconds. The maximum run without recharging for the European cycle of NEDC was about 380 kilometers.
The electric car has received a system of semi-automatic control Pro Pilot, created on the basis of a laser scanner, which determines the exact distance to other objects, as well as a system of circular view. Electronics is able to independently hold the car in the occupied band, as well as monitor the necessary acceleration and deceleration.
In addition, the novelty received the e-Pedal system, due to which it is possible to accelerate, decelerate and completely stop using only the accelerator pedal.
