The marked prototype of the German representative sedan is completely covered with camouflage film. Even the door handles and those are closed by some kind of black ribbon and it looks like they are preparing for them some meaningful update.
Spy photos of the new generation of the flagship sedan Mercedes-Benz S-Class were published by foreign car publications just a couple of hours ago. Note that this model of the German automaker is a certain standard for all premium cars and that is why, the official presentation of the new generation of S-Class for many is a welcome event.
Just a couple of days ago, photos of the interior were published (the salon was also camouflaged and pretty much) the renewed flagship of Mercedes-Benz. Now we get an opportunity to look at the exterior of the novelty. Much to my regret, the prototype of the representative sedan seen was covered with a sufficient amount of camouflage film, which does not give the opportunity to see the car in all its details.
In addition to a series of photographs, a video was published, which gives us the opportunity to view a German car in motion. Especially we want to note the door handles, which for some reason were pasted with an additional film of black color.
There is an assumption that the engineers of the automaker decided to integrate a palm scanner into them. Note that the black film covers a body, which obviously contains door handles. It is possible that the guys from Mercedes just want to raise the hype, around this detail – because they know that a test prototype of the long-awaited novelty will be surely guarded by journalists with cameras. At least this is not the first time when the automaker is going to such a trick.
The published video gives us a good opportunity to see the front of the car. This is where the sensors for new autonomous technologies are located – they are built into the radiator grille. Similar sensors are also likely located on the windshield. The S-Class is well known as the flagship of Mercedes-Benz, so there is every reason to believe that the new sedan will offer some autonomous functions.
Finally, we want to note that we can hardly see a new generation of Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which will receive an internal index W222 until 2020.
Not so long ago, our automotive publication wrote that the interior design of the new Mercedes-Benz GLE revealed officially
