According to official data, the long-awaited German novelty will receive many new options and systems, including an autonomous control system, a premium audio system, and a whole host of different assistants.
There were rumors that at the moment the German company Mercedes-Benz was not yet fully determined what to do with the model SLC (sports roadster), but at the moment, work on improving this car continues. Not so long ago, there was information that a powerful German convertible, which by the way was previously known as SLK, in the very near future will receive a new version.
It is known that engineers of the German brand are preparing several advanced technologies for their “charged” novelty, in particular, an autonomous control system, a fully digital instrument panel, a premium audio system Harman Kardon, an assistant who will monitor blind spots and parking assistants.
In a recent interview with foreign automotive publications, representatives of the German brand also told that the new version of the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 will receive a more impressive list of options starting with the basic equipment. Standard equipment is now considered a 2-zone climate system, as well as LED lights with adaptive head lights. In addition, for the sports roadster of the 2019-model year is now available a new body color, which was called Graphite Gray (graphite gray).
The ideological successor to the SLK55 cabriolet with its 3.0-liter V6 biturbo will boast a maximum output of 385 horsepower – previously this figure was 362 hp. So far, there is no data on torque, so we assume that it will remain at around 534 Nm. Given the increase in power by 23 hp, it is possible that acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h will now take slightly less than 4.6 seconds.
As for the future fate of the roadster SLC, then according to Tobias Moers, who is the current boss of Mercedes-AMG, now this issue is being worked out. Most likely, the model will have to be replaced by a completely new one, which will make a worthy competition for the Porsche 718 Cayman.
