A video published by Auto Bild shows us the preliminary design of the new Volkswagen Golf GTI, and judging by this render, the model will receive a slight restyling. “Charged” version of the new generation will receive increased brakes, larger rims, a new front bumper with increased air intakes, as well as the traditional red strip passing through the grille.
Under the hood will be installed 2.0-liter turbo engine, capable of developing in the basic version up to 245 horsepower. More powerful versions have not yet been confirmed, according to preliminary information, they do not pass the new environmental standards.
The main competitors for the future will be models of the Peugeot 308 GTi and Hyundai i30 N. Of course, the company will release a more powerful version, but designed exclusively for track operation.
The most powerful version of the Volkswagen GTI is likely to develop up to 300 horsepower.
