The Jaguar manual discusses the possibility of releasing the SVR version of its first electric crossover I-Pace
The company Jaguar can develop the SVR-version of its first electric crossover I-Pace. This is reported by Autocar with reference to the director for strategic planning of the products of the brand Hanno Kirner. According to him, this project is now being discussed by the company’s management.
“We often ask ourselves what the SVR version of I-Pace might be. Yes, we are able to make an electric car, which can accelerate to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds. This is an excellent result, well, after your eyes come out of the orbits at this start, you hardly want to repeat it, “the top manager said.
The standard version of the crossover is equipped with two electric motors (200 hp each) on each axis. From the place to 100 km / h Jaguar I-Pace accelerates in 4.8 seconds, and the maximum speed is forcibly limited to 200 km per hour.
Kirner recalled that I-Pace batteries are placed between the axes and extremely low – this was done in order to achieve weight distribution on the axles in the proportion of 50:50 and, accordingly, maximize the controllability of the electric vehicle. According to him, the same parameters should be kept for the charged modification of the crossover.
