The Chinese company Beijing Auto has released a copy of the six-wheel SUV Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6. The public premiere of the novelty will be held on Friday, April 27, at the Beijing Motor Show, CarNewsChina reports.

The novelty is called BJ80 6×6. The SUV was equipped with a 2.3-liter gas turbo-twin turbocharger from Saab, which produces 250 hp. and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission – a six-speed manual or automatic transmission of the same range. Thrust is transmitted to four wheels.

In 2009, the BAIC concern, which includes Beijing Auto, bought the rights from General Motors for the use of Saab’s 2- and 2.3-liter engines, as well as the first-generation 9-3 and 9-5 chassis.

It is assumed that the BJ80 6×6 debuts as a prototype, but it is possible that in the future, the Chinese will launch a six-wheeled SUV limited production.

The original Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 was introduced in 2013. The model was completed with a 5.5-liter supercharged engine giving out 544 hp and 760 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
