The agency’s own measurements showed that Audi e-tron is capable of driving 204 miles, that is, 328 km on a single battery charge, while the manufacturer stated that this figure is approximately 400 km. Thus, the Audi ‑ tron’s price range of about $ 75,000 is inferior not only to premium competitors like the Jaguar I-Pace or Tesla Model X, but also to the much more affordable Chevrolet Bolt and Kia Niro.

Audi, meanwhile, said that the e-tron crossover was designed for daily use, and since owners of premium cars travel about 50 kilometers, the e-tron capabilities will be quite enough. In addition, the manufacturer believes that indirectly compensating for the loss of power reserve can be almost a record speed of charging batteries. When using a 150-kilowatt device, the Audi e-tron batteries can be charged to a level sufficient to cover 54 miles (87 km) in just 10 minutes, and half an hour charge is enough for 163 miles (262 km).

In addition, Audi noted that e-tron batteries with a daily use of the crossover will involve only 88% – 83.6 kW / h instead of the stated 95 kW / h. This, according to the manufacturer, provides long-term battery life, stable reproducibility and peak power for a longer time.

Finally, the individual advantages of the e-tron should be the ability to gain 100 km / h in about 5.5 seconds and tow up to 1.8 tons, as well as the ability to charge the crossover batteries at the charging stations of the Electrify America network for free for some time.
