Indian company Tata introduced the concept of a new crossover called H5X. Public debut of the car was held at the Auto Show in Delhi. The novelty is built on the same platform used by Land Rover Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque and Jaguar E-Pace. The company stressed that engineers needed “a good understanding of the Indian market to adapt the chassis for Indian conditions.”
The prototype demonstrates the new language of the brand design called Impact 2.0. The length of the novelty is 4575 mm, and the width is 1960 mm. The size of the wheelbase is 2740 millimeters. Thus, the H5X is noticeably inferior in overall dimensions of Discovery Sport.
In the future, the concept is sure to get a serial version. The premiere of the car should take place next year. The car will receive a 2.0-liter diesel engine. The power of the unit will be 140 horsepower. The engine will be able to work together with a 9-speed automatic transmission ZF. Also, customers will be offered a four-wheel drive system.
Earlier, the company Tata Motors announced that it is moving to a new design called Impact 2.0. This step is caused by the desire to meet the new needs of Tata car buyers. According to the chief designer of the company Mr. Pratap Bose, the first impression of a car in a person is formed in 20 seconds, when he only saw it. Impact should make the product of Tata Motors memorable and attractive.
