The compact cross-country Vitara Brezza (length – 3,995 mm, wheelbase – 2,500 mm) made its debut in India in 2016, in this country the production of crossover is established, only there it is being sold. In the summer of 2018, a freshened model will appear on the Indian market. According to local media, the update was modest: the color palette of the cross was replenished with an orange metallic, and the model also had black 17-inch wheel disks. The interior uses black plastic instead of the former dark gray. For the interior there are also new colored decorative inserts.
According to preliminary information, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza lost the cheapest “empty” configuration, in which the SUV was equipped only with a driver’s airbag. Thus, already in the “base” the crossover will now be available with two airbags, ABS and EBD, rear parking sensors. New equipment is not expected: in the top version of the cross there is still a multimedia system, a rear-view camera and climate control.
Vitara Brezza will be offered with the previous turbodiesel 1.3 DDiS (90 hp, 200 Nm), working in tandem with a five-speed manual transmission. Later, the model may have a petrol engine 1.5 and a robotic transmission. The drive for all versions is front only.
The premiere of the refreshed crossover is scheduled for June. The price has not yet been announced, but Vitara Brezza will certainly go up in price. Pre-reform crossover costs from 728 000 rupees. Note that the model of Maruti Suzuki is the best-selling crossover in India: in 2017, 140 945 such cars were sold (seventh place in the overall rating of India’s most popular car).
