Supercar Gumpert Apollo, who set the record for the Nurburgring, was put up for sale

German dealer Springbok Sportwagen GmbH put up for sale the supercar Gumpert Apollo, which in August 2009 set a record for the passage of the Nürburgring track – 7 minutes 11.57 seconds. The car with a run of 9320 kilometers was estimated at 333 thousand euros.

The mid-engine Gumpert Apollo is equipped with a 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 Audi engine. The output of the unit is 700 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. The box is a six-speed sequential.

From zero to 100 kilometers per hour, the supercar can accelerate in 3.1 seconds. Its maximum speed is 360 kilometers per hour.

The seller reports that the car for sale was fully serviced by Hasenbichler, which specializes in Gumpert. At the same time, the car does not have an original rear wing.

The company Gumpert, founded by the former head of Audi Sport Roland Gumpert, ceased to exist in 2012. Two years later, the remains of its assets were purchased by the Hong Kong investment company Ideal Team Venture. The new company was named Apollo Automobil.

The first Apollo machine was the conceptual concept car Arrow, built on the basis of Gumpert Apollo. In October 2017, the company introduced the hypercore Intensa Emozione. The novelty received a completely carbon body, active aerodynamics and a V12 engine with a working volume of 6.3 liters, which develops 780 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque.
