The Czech brand will show in late April a compact SUV called Kamiq, which should become the most affordable SUV in its lineup
At the disposal of the publication Autohome appeared the first spy photos of the cabin of the smallest and affordable crossover company Skoda, which is expected to be called Kamiq. The public premiere of the novelty, intended for the Chinese market, will be held on April 25 at the Beijing Motor Show.
According to unofficial data, the overall length of the crossover will be 4390 mm, width – 1781 mm, and height – 1539 mm. The wheelbase is 2690 millimeters in size. Skoda Kamiq will be available with a single 1.5-liter atmospheric engine, developing 110 horsepower. It is assumed that the model will be offered exclusively with a front-wheel drive.
Earlier it was reported that in 2018, Skoda will develop for the Chinese market a crossover with a coupe-like silhouette, built on the basis of the model Kodiaq. At the moment, the coupe-crossover has a working designation Kodiaq GT, but the production model can get a different name.
The novelty will be based on the same modular platform MQB of concern Volkswagen, on which the usual Kodiaq is built. Apparently, he will also borrow a crossover and a line of units. Skoda Kodiaq GT will become an affordable alternative to the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. First of all, the model will be designed for China, but it is possible that the crossover will appear in other markets.
