The premiere of a new version of the flagship crossover Škoda will take place in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
The L&K series (Laurin & Klement) received its name in honor of the founders of the Czech brand Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement. With such badges sell the most equipped cars of the brand. At the moment, L&K versions are available for the Skoda Octavia and Superb lifts, and soon the “luxury” version of the Kodiaq crossover will be on the market.
The all-terrain vehicle in the new version has 19-inch alloy wheels of special design, LED optics, chrome grille, modernized rear bumper. In interior Kodiaq L&K – decorative elements of orange color, black glossy insert on the front panel, aluminum overlays on the pedals. Armchairs and steering wheel are upholstered in leather. In the arsenal of new items also appear: driver’s seat with electric adjustments and memory settings, rain sensor, rear-view mirror with automatic dimming, audio system Canton.
In Europe, the top Kodiaq will be available with a new 1.5 TSI petrol engine with 150 hp and the 2.0 TSI engine, which has been boosted from 180 to 190 hp, both equipped with particulate filters. According to preliminary data, a 1.5-liter engine will replace the engine 1.4 TSI with similar returns. Also, the crossover of the L&K series will be offered with the previous 2.0 TDI diesel engine with a capacity of 150 or 190 hp. For gasoline engines and the base diesel engine, a new version of the seven-speed automatic transmission DSG is provided. The most powerful variants of Kodiaq L&K have a four-wheel drive by default, for others it is available for a surcharge. As noted in Skoda, later there will be other complete sets with 1.5 TSI and 190-strong 2.0 TSI.
In the European market Kodiaq L&K will be released in the second half of the year.
