Skoda introduced the armored SuperbMay 29, 2018
The Czech company has produced an armored estate with a modernized suspension, brakes and wheels.
The British division of Skoda introduced the armored version of Superb Estate. The novelty was developed within the framework of cooperation of the Czech brand and one of the local specialized companies, whose name is kept secret.
The station wagon received the armor of the standard PAS 300. This indicates that the passengers of the car will be protected from shots from large-caliber weapons and grenade ruptures. For Superb Estate, special wheel disks have also been developed, allowing the car to continue driving with punched tires.
Because of the significantly increased mass on the universal, it was necessary to use a modernized chassis, as well as more efficient braking mechanisms.
At the same time, as noted by the developers, retained its practicality – a spacious five-seater cabin and a luggage compartment for 660 liters. For passengers, there is a multimedia complex with an eight-inch touch screen, and supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces.
It takes about four weeks to convert this car. Armored Skoda Superb Estate will cost about 120 thousand pounds sterling
