Presented last year at the Geneva Motor Show electric hypercar of the Singapore firm Dendrobium Automotive will be assembled in the UK. The serial car will receive a full carbon body and a power plant that produces 1825 horsepower and 2000 Nm of torque.
Hypercar is still in the development stage, so there is still no official information on the power reserve and dynamic characteristics. However, in Geneva, representatives of the brand said that Dendrobium D-1 could accelerate to 96 kilometers per hour in 2.7 seconds. Its maximum speed will be more than 320 kilometers per hour.
The construction of the car was carried out with the support of Williams Advanced Engineering, which also includes the Williams team of Formula-1. The company was responsible for aerodynamics and electrical systems of the hypercar. At the same time, designers were looking for inspiration in the creation of the car in the flowers of the orchid Dendrobium, the home of which is considered to be the countries of Asia.
A feature of the machine presented in Geneva was the automatic “suicidal” doors that open up and out, the roof, the cameras instead of the side mirrors, the carbon steering wheel and the seats.
