Sedan Cadillac CT5 appeared on tests

Despite the abundance of camouflage film, one can discern the rather aggressive appearance of a luxury sedan. Possible receiver models Cadillac CTS and XTS, the new Cadillac CT5 first came into the objective of the cameras photospy.

A couple of hours ago (today, June 14), our foreign colleagues published a series of images of the new American sedan Cadillac CT5, which, according to our friends, insiders can replace the CTS and XTS models. Note that even last year, Johan de Nisshen, who at the moment is the former CEO of the Cadillac brand, said that the new sedan will be named CT5.

I must say that the noted prototype of the novelty looks amazingly sporty, especially its convex part of the hood, which also got a small air intake.

So far, it’s difficult to say how the radiator grille is located – or it reaches the headlights or occupies a rather small part in the center. Quite narrow headlights are another aggressive element of the exterior. Cadillac engineers decided to retain the vertical LED headlights that exist in the existing models, in particular the CT6 sedan.

If you look closely, you can see that in the center of the radiator grating there is a large sensor and a camera, which indicates the presence of an improved driver assistance system. We can assume that this equipment is necessary for the functioning of the Super Cruise system, which will be installed on all models of the brand from 2020 onwards.

Judging by the fact that there is an air intake on the hood, it can be expected that the car will receive a powerful engine – it may be a modified 4.2-liter V8 biturbo. In the new CT-V-Sport, he develops a maximum of 550 horsepower.

According to the plan of the American company, the future model line Cadillac will have three sedans: a compact, possibly called CT3, CT5 and the flagship CT6, which will also be updated in the near future. Crossovers will be represented by models XT4, XT5, and the upcoming XT6 and Escalade.
