The eight-seat crossover Hyundai Palisade became the serial embodiment of the concept HDC-2 Grandmaster, which debuted in June of this year. The first this large SUV will be tested by American motorists – it is the US market that should become the mainstream for the novelty.
In the summer of this year, the Korean brand Hyundai presented a concept car HDC-2 Grandmaster at the Busan auto show, which, according to experts, should eventually transform into a product model called Palisade. The assumptions turned out to be true: today the automaker is actively preparing to release a production version of an eight-seater SUV. Publication Motor1 decided not to wait for the official debut, which will take place no earlier than 2020, and prepared a render of the future novelty.
Guided by the “spy” pictures that occasionally leaked onto the Web, as well as the latest innovations released by the Korean brand, the experts compiled a “photofit” of Hyundai Palisade.
So, the designers rewarded a large cross with an overall radiator grille with proprietary pointed corners and stylish “pattern”, narrowed head optics, designer wheels, and also stamp on the body and clearly defined wheel arches. It is known that the creators of the render sought inspiration from the styling of the Mercedes-Benz GLE and Hyundai Santa Fe.
According to preliminary information, under the hood of the Palisade will be a petrol “six” with a 3.3-liter working volume and an estimated yield of 370 hp. In a couple of this power unit will offer 8-speed automatic tansmission. The drive can be both front and full. In competitors to a capacious novelty, experts predict Ford Explorer and Honda Pilot. It was planned that the model will debut next year at the Detroit Auto Show. Currently, the media called another date – 2020 year.
