Fans of the Porsche 911 will have to wait just over two years before the release of this version.

The next generation of the sports car Porsche 911 (992) will acquire a plug-in hybrid version, the power of which is over 700 horsepower. This is reported by the publication Autocar referring to the CEO of Porsche Oliver Blum.

Hybrid versions of the 4 E-Hybrid and the Turbo S E-Hybrid have already acquired the Panamera model. Now it’s time and 911, I take into account that next year there will be a fully electric car Porsche Mission E.

According to Blum, the company can create the most powerful in the history of the factory Porsche 911, using a hybrid powerplant. The driver will have a special button for starting additional electric acceleration. At the moment, the most productive 911 is the GT2 RS (700 hp).

“The 911 plug-in hybrid should be a very high-speed car. This will be the most powerful 911 that we have ever had, perhaps its power will be 700 or more horsepower, ” – said the boss of Porsche Oliver Blum.

It is expected that the hybrid 911 (992) will be equipped with an electric motor from the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. Its power is 136 horsepower. The current generation of the 911 Turbo S engine develops 572 hp. Given that with the change in generation, the performance of the engine will increase, the total power of the hybrid plug-in will clearly be more than 700 hp.

The world premiere of the new Porsche 911 is to be held this fall at the Paris Motor Show. The debut of 911 PHEV can happen two years after this event. Entry to the market can occur in 2021, although previously there were rumors about the year 2023.
