Pioneer turns your smartphone into an infotainment systemJanuary 12, 2019
The famous company introduced a new “radio tape recorder” for cars capable of being equipped with standard systems for a single DIN. The system is synchronized with the smartphone and turns it into a part of the multimedia car.
Car infotainment systems are developing as fast as cars themselves. From fairly bulky structures that take up a lot of space, they came to a compact size DVD-ROM drive with a standardized size “DIN”. Now this format is becoming obsolete and most new cars use their own full-time multimedia.
Despite the fact that the old cars have quite modest technological capabilities, Pioneer decided to change this. The latest model of the SPH-10BT system is equipped with a special stand for the phone, and is able to use your gadget as its own display.
In addition to regular use as a display of the multimedia system, the owner of the phone becomes available voice assistant, navigation, dubbing of text messages and so on.
The system will be available next month, but so far only in the USA. Cost will make from 150 dollars.
Meanwhile, Jaguar Land Rover is going to equip the classic car models in accordance with the latest fashion trends. So, the manufacturer has created a special touch multimedia for retro cars with radio, Bluetooth and built-in navigator.
