Company Peugeot will present at the motor show in Paris this fall a new concept car. This information was published by Autocar to the general director of the brand Jean-Philippe Imparato. According to him, it will be “something spectacular and radical.”
According to Autocar, it can be a prototype of an electric car. Since 2019, such modifications will receive every new car of the French brand. At the same time, there are no plans to develop unmanned vehicles for Peugeot yet. Also, the French are not yet going to abandon diesel engines on their models.
Earlier it was reported that the new generation of compact crossover 2008 will receive a fully electric modification. However, the premiere of this car is planned only for 2019.
Last year, Peugeot introduced the electric version of the passenger van Partner Tepee. The power unit includes an electric motor with a return of 68 hp. and 200 Nm of torque, two lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 22.5 kW / h and a reducing gear. The range of the van was 170 kilometers. At full charge the batteries will take 8.5, 12 or 15 hours, depending on the current strength.
