Peugeot 208 will look similar to the older 508August 18, 2018
The French car Peugeot 508 looks pretty stylish, and according to the most “fresh” data, the new Peugeot 208 will receive some design features from the mid-size sedan / station wagon 508. The 5-door hatchback Peugeot 208 will be presented in March next year.
It is already known that the French automaker – the company Peugeot, will present the next generation of the 5-door hatchback 208 in the framework of the Geneva Motor Show, which in turn will be held in March 2019. Unfortunately, we do not yet have a clear idea of how this novelty will look. No, at the moment, of course there are a couple of so-called “spyware” shots of this car, but they only captured the early prototype of the new Peugeot 208, which was pushed into the body of the current version of the model.
We can assume that the rather stylish appearance of the mid-size sedan / station wagon 508 will be partially transferred to the updated French hatchback B-segment (subcompact). This is what our colleagues from foreign automotive publications told us. I must say that if the new 5-door kid 208 looks like his older brother, 508, it will be very cool!
In addition to this news, the guys presented their computer visualization on which they depicted an updated version 208 in the GT version with an exterior that borrowed quite a few elements from the current flagship of the French automaker model 508.
In particular, the updated hatchback received a bright red hint of the body, stylish 2-color alloy wheels and a brilliant radiator grille. The 208 icon, which is under the company logo, is very similar to the one used on the 508 GT. Also worth noting LED daytime running lights, which fall to the bottom of the bumper.
The next generation of model 208 will be built on the CMP platform of the Group PSA Group, and the e-CMP version for the electrified performance of the hatchback will also be used. In addition, over time, a high-performance version with the GTi index will be introduced.
