Nissan will donate 100 thousand euros for the restoration of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in ParisApril 22, 2019
The company Nissan decided to allocate 100 thousand euros to help rebuild the 850-year-old Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, recently damaged by fire. At the same time, the Japanese automaker is trying to restore good relations with Renault and the French government.
It should be noted that currently a wide circle of large companies and wealthy people has already collected more than 1 billion US dollars for the restoration of one of the most important sights of France. Part of the cathedral was destroyed during a fire this month, but fortunately there were no casualties.
French President Emmanuel Macron has already promised to restore Notre Dame in just five years, but this will quickly be a very difficult task, even with all the enthusiasm and joint efforts.
Interestingly, at the moment Nissan and Renault, united by a common alliance, are trying to overcome differences after the arrest of the former head of the concern Carlos Ghosn, accused of financial crimes, and arrested in November 2018.
Recall, Ghosn, before his arrest, insisted on further strengthening ties in the alliance, and a complete merger of the two companies, which caused concern in Japan, where they felt that such a move would make the Renault influence in the alliance absolute.
