At the exhibition of consumer electronics at CES-2019, a presentation of a new and yet unique technology of augmented automotive reality was held. The system was developed as part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility strategy.

One of the brightest exhibits of the 2019 show is the technology of “turning the invisible into the visible” Invisible-to-Visible (I2V) of Nissan. The company has tried to embody in it all the views of science fiction about using a computer to drive a car. Including numerous parameters, monitoring the environment, the ability to monitor the situation beyond visibility, predict dangerous situations and so on.

At the exhibition only concept technology was demonstrated. As part of a demonstration of future opportunities, a whole multimedia stand was built, and a program for virtual reality glasses was developed.

The I2V system features a 360-degree virtual world around the machine, providing the principle of “Seamless Autonomous Mobility”. The company also offers future drivers to acquire their own assistant, performed as a full-sized hologram capable of performing the functions of a “navigator,” a driving instructor, or just an interlocutor.

Unfortunately, the company has not yet said when the serial prototype of the new complex may appear. But the prospect of combining the real and the virtual world looks very impressive.
