The “twin” Renault Duster has a new version – Sport Edition.
A special Nissan Terrano made its debut in India. The roof, racks and cross rails of the Sport Edition are made in black, unpainted plastic lining appeared on the wheel arches. In the “nostrils” of the radiator grille, LED daytime running lights were built in the form of jackdaws. Another Terrano decorated with stickers: dark red stripes are located on the hood, front wings and doors. The armchairs of the model are upholstered with a quilted cloth. That, in fact, and the whole “sport”.
In the “stuffing” – unchanged: like the standard crossover, the Terrano Sport Edition is equipped with a turbodiesel 1.5 power 110 hp and a five-speed manual transmission. For ordinary Terrano, India still has an 85-strong version of the diesel and a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a return of 104 hp, and the most powerful engine on “heavy” fuel can be aggregated by a semiautomatic transmission with one clutch. By the way, unlike the Russian Terrano, the all-wheel drive is not put in the Indian model.
The list of equipment for the “sports” crossover included: 16-inch wheels, electric exterior mirrors, multimedia system with a touch screen, a pair of airbags, ABS and EBD. Price Terrano Sport Edition starts from a mark of 1 222 000 rupees.
In the Indian market, sales of Terrano are falling rapidly. So, in 2015, 10,670 cars were sold there, in 2016 – 4,717 units, and last year – 3,035 units. For comparison, the “twin” Renault Duster in 2017 found in India 15 158 owners. However, in Russia the cross of the French brand is also much more popular than the “brother”: 43,828 sold to us in 2017, the Dasterov against 13,807 copies of Terrano.
