Nissan presents a new generation of SylphyApril 17, 2019
The premiere was held at the Shanghai International Auto Show. The car stands out for its bright design and trim, corresponding to higher-end models. The developers say about exemplary aerodynamics, but the power equipment of the sedan will be quite modest.
The new Sylphy in the version for the Chinese market turned out to be, perhaps, truly more impressive than in the outgoing version. The authors have transferred many features of the exterior of the older models, incl. Maxima and Altima from the American Nissan line. Expressive narrow headlights, V-Motion grille, floating roof, rear bumper with false ventilation – elements of the modern style of Nissan.
Almost more impressive was the salon, at least in the maximum configuration. The front panel has a partial finish of artificial leather, the same applies to the seats, door panels, center console. There are inserts like “carbon”. Unusual for the class can be considered a scheme with three air ducts in the central part of the front panel. The equipment will include an 8-inch screen on the front panel and a 7-inch screen on the dashboard. Will offer three color schemes trim – black, gray and brown.
The engine, apparently, for Sylphy will offer only one – a 1.6-liter gasoline HR16DE. Its exact characteristics after the upgrade has not yet been published. It will be combined only with the Xtronic variator and front-wheel drive.
The car will receive a number of active safety systems inaccessible to the previous generation Sylphy. There are systems of automatic braking, warning about leaving the occupied lane, about the danger in the dead zone of the side mirrors and when reversing from the parking lot.
Cost will be announced later.
