In Mexico, sales of a new version of the compact SUV Nissan Kicks.
Specialization Kicks called Fan Edition, however, the company did not explain to the fans what the novelty is intended for. However, on one of the images widespread by the image maker, the crossover is “imprinted” on the stadium, and next to the car we see a football. Obviously, fans of this sport and dedicated a special set.
The body of the Nissan Kicks Fan Edition is painted blue, the roof is made in white, and the racks are in black. The “parketnik” has tinted windows. In the salon – blue inserts in the deflectors of airflow, branded rugs with edging the same hue. The list of equipment new items include: 17-inch drives, a multimedia system with a touchscreen and support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leather steering wheel, parktronic, ABS and EBD.
In Mexico, the cross is offered with a single gasoline 1.6 HR16DE with 118 hp. Kicks Fan Edition is available only with a five-speed manual transmission, although the standard model still has a variator. The drive for all versions is just front.
The price of the novelty is from 333,500 pesos. For comparison, the usual cross costs from 298,300 pesos. The edition of the special version of Fan Edition is limited to 400 copies. In Mexico, Kicks local sales are being sold: the production of the model started in this country in 2016 at the Nissan plant, which also produces Sentra and Versa sedans, Note and March compacts (the previous Micra).
Recall, Nissan intends to sell a compact crossover Kicks in more than 80 countries. So, in addition to Mexico, the model is already available in Brazil and China (in these countries, also production of Kicks), and in the summer of 2018 the SUV will reach the US and Canada. Designed for the above countries, the cross is built on the V-platform of the Renault-Nissan alliance (used on Nissan Note and Pulsar), the drive of this crossover is exclusively front. For other markets, in particular for India, Kicks can be transferred to the B0 platform, which also underlies, for example, the Renault Duster. In this case, Kicks may have an all-wheel drive version.
