The company Nikola Motors, known for its electric tractors, introduced the off-road buggy NZT.
The model is equipped with four electric motors at once and can travel 240 km on a single charge.
The full name of the car sounds like net zero toll, as if hinting at a zero level of harmful emissions.
The total power of all four engines buggy is 598 l / s and 1051 Nm of torque. At the same time, the front engines, as well as the rear ones, are combined with an inverter and a single-stage gearbox into an e-axle unit. He, in turn, is protected from dust and moisture according to the standard IP68, that is, completely sealed
Electric motors are powered by a 125-kilowatt-hour battery pack. It takes 15 hours to fully charge the batteries from a household outlet, but it will take only two hours for a high-speed DC terminal.
Off-road Nikola NZT helps ground clearance of 305 millimeters, off-road 35-inch tires, a completely flat bottom and Fox 3.0 shock absorbers with an external bypass valve and a stroke of almost half a meter
In addition, the buggy can tow trailers with a maximum weight of 1,361 kilograms.
The car is also equipped with a seven-inch digital dashboard, a multimedia system with a 13-inch vertical display and an audio system.
The start of production of Nikola NZT is scheduled for 2021. The price of the model will start from 80 thousand dollars
In Nikola Motors stressed that they are currently developing a similar SUV for the needs of the army.
