New version of the BMW M3 seen in the Nurburgring

Unfortunately, at the moment, very little is known about the new version of the high-performance BMW M3 sedan. The sedan, which is positioned by the manufacturer as a car of 2020 model year, is still covered with camouflage film.

We want to remind our readers that last week, the Bavarian automobile company BMW introduced a completely new generation of BMW 3-Series sedan. The show was held at the Paris Motor Show (France). This time, the Bavarian engineers presented the seventh generation of cars. It is known that at the start of sales, the German novelty will be available in gasoline versions 320i and 330i, as well as diesel 318d, 320d / 320d xDrive and 330d. A more powerful modification of the M340i xDrive was also introduced to the automotive public. However, it will be available for purchase next summer.

And of course, if you need much more power, you will have to wait (and for quite a long time) the release of a full-fledged M-version of the sedan.

A test prototype of the Bavarian novelty was seen at the legendary Nürburgring race track (Germany) quite recently. The spy photos of the long-awaited car turned out to be at the disposal of our automobile editorial office just a couple of hours ago.

Apparently, we have a version of the car closer to serial production than the one that foreign journalists managed to capture some time ago. This prototype already has LED lights. Note that in the previous shots of the BMW M3, instead of these same headlights, there were rather awkward temporary headlights with old-fashioned light bulbs, which are not worthless of a high-performance BMW M sedan

Yes, the car is still heavily disguised, but still something can be seen from its new exterior. You can easily see that the prototype received extended wheel arches in which wider rims can easily fit. In the back of the prototype, there is a slim spoiler on the trunk lid, and two twin tailpipes of the exhaust system.

There is unconfirmed evidence that the Bavarian novelty will receive a new power in-line unit twin-turbo displacement of 3.6 liters and 6 cylinders. Its power is likely to be about 450 hp

In the meantime, tuning masters gave the BMW M550d xDrive even more power.
