New Porsche Cayenne Coupe caught journalistsJanuary 14, 2019
This test prototype of the German novelty, found on the streets of Stuttgart, followed the Italian crossover Alfa Romeo Stelvio. So far, there is no data on when the official presentation of the crossover will take place.
After the presentation of the German Audi Q8, the Italian Lamborghini Urus, the concern Volkswagen Group, which includes both of these companies, is preparing to present another similar crossover. Common to all these cars is one, they all have a popular coupe-like body. So, we are talking about the Porsche Cayenne in the Coupe version, or whatever it is called.
A couple of minutes ago, our foreign colleagues kindly shared with us the “spy” photos of the prototype from Porsche. The car was spotted on the public roads of the city of Stuttgart (Germany).
And the car followed the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Porsche engineers camouflaged everything they needed – the rear pillar, the taillights, but despite camouflage, it is easy to see that the prototype had a slightly more inclined roofline compared to the conventional model.
Look, these two exhaust tips on the sides of the bumper do not emit smoke. Look closer, and you will notice that the functional tubes are near the center, close to each other. This means that in the prototype there was no serial version of the exhaust system.
The guys from Porsche did not say a word about when they presented the coupe-shaped version of the Cayenne crossover, we believe that this may happen already this year. There is no doubt that engines, technologies and much more will be transferred from the standard version of the model. The coupe can also receive and 671-hp hybrid installation.
Not so long ago, we wrote that the Porsche 911 2020 model cabriolet was seen next to the coupe.
