As part of one of the most important events of the European market, an updated compact crossover from a Japanese brand was presented. The model differs from its predecessor almost completely.
Geneva Motor Show 2019 has become a real birthplace of new products. Many global brands presented their concepts and really interesting model updates. Lexus did not stand aside and brought its new compact crossover UX 2020 model year. The model has a new design and a new GA-C platform. A distinctive feature of the car is the body of aluminum and composite materials.
The overall dimensions of the model are 4495/1520/1840 mm, and the wheelbase is 2 640 mm. The exhibition featured a hybrid version of the UX 250h, equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 178 horsepower, paired with an electric motor and a CVT.
The design of the novelty was no longer a secret, but a live crossover looks no less interesting than in the preliminary art photos. Thanks to the new platform, engineers managed to save quite a lot of space for front and rear passengers, and the equipment can hit any electronics lover.
By the way, the model will be able to boast a variety of configurations, a wide range of additional options and extensive personalization options.
