The Maybach brand was founded in 1909 and existed until the 1950s as a manufacturer of super-luxury cars. The brand was revived by the company Mercedes-Benz in 2002 and again abolished in 2012 due to extremely low sales volumes. Recently, the leaders of Mercedes-Benz decided to return to the market Maybach as a sub-brand, under which the company sells sedans S-Class in an extended version and top-end trim levels.
