Swedish skier Jon Olsson presented another car project: the conversion of the tuned SUV Mercedes-Benz G500 4 × 4² into a cabriolet was completed. The car, which was bought for 250 thousand euros, has been finalized since December last year. About the car Olsson told in his YouTube blog.
Initially, the tuning Gelentwagen was equipped with two snorkels, a chandelier and a trunk on the roof, where there was a spare tire, fuel canisters, and a shovel with an ax. But in this form, the car did not fit in height in the garage of Olsson’s house and the underground parking of Monaco. Therefore, the off-road vehicle was decided to cut the roof.
Olsson said that for an open car several roof options are considered in case of bad weather, but in the end the car was left altogether without any convertible top.
In the summer of last year, Olsson built the 812-strong Rolls-Royce Wraith, and in June of 2018 put it on sale. The car was valued at 275 thousand euros. Also in the collection of the skier was the 800-strong Lamborghini Huracan with the release of Akrapovic, an understated K & W suspension and a carbon fiber roof rack for skis.
