Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake has got AMG-versionJune 5, 2019
The Mercedes-AMG family with an index of 35 has been replenished with a new model – the CLA 35 4Matic Shooting Brake. Technically, the wagon does not differ from the previously presented sedan: the same “turbo” for 306 forces and all-wheel drive with an electromechanical coupling connecting the rear axle.
From the civilian version of the CLA 35 4Matic Shooting Brake differs in increased torsional rigidity of the body: two diagonal struts are installed in front, and an aluminum panel under the engine. The suspension replaced the levers, springs and shock absorbers, which for an additional charge can be electronically controlled. The engine, a 2.0-liter turbo engine (306 power and 400 Nm of torque), is combined with the seven-speed robotized DCT and 4Matic all-wheel drive, which can transfer up to 50 percent of the torque to the rear axle.
The acceleration dynamics of the Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 4Matic Shooting Brake is the same as that of the CLA 35 4Matic sedan – 4.9 seconds to 100 kilometers per hour. This is 0.1 seconds slower than the A 35 4Matic sedan and 0.2 hatchback. The maximum speed is 250 kilometers per hour.
The wagon is equipped with four-piston fixed calipers with 350 mm brake discs in the front and floating single-piston with 330 mm discs at the rear. The equipment list also includes digital tidy, the MBUX media complex, the new AMG steering wheel, imitation leather and microfiber sports seats, and a selector for driving modes with five profiles: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Individual.
