Mercedes-Benz began to drive the electric locomotive EQ C for the Nurburgring

In a fresh video, the electric crossover Mercedes-Benz EQ C was filmed at the Nürburgring and its surroundings. Probably, on the track the manufacturer tested the sports abilities of the car for further development.

Technical details about the first serial representative of the EQ line are still unknown. It is rumored that the product model will receive a slightly modified version of the power plant from the EQ concept. If the information is confirmed, the electric motor will be equipped with two electric motors (one on each axis) with a total power of 402 hp and 700 Nm of torque.

The crossover will receive a battery pack with a capacity of 70 kWh, which will provide a range of 500 km, but there is no confirmation of this fact. Most likely, the power reserve for the more recent EPA cycle compared to the NEDC will be about 400 km.

The debut of Mercedes-Benz EQ C will take place not earlier than the third quarter of this year, so, we are waiting for the disclosure of new data.

Recall, this spring about the “cold” phase of testing told the chief technical engineer Mercedes-Benz EQ C Michael Kelz. In total, an electric vehicle was subjected to about 500 tests, including battery operation in frosty weather.

Recently it also became known that in 2020 in the Mercedes-Benz EQ lineup there will also be a large sedan – an electrical variation of the S-Class.
