Mercedes-AMG will present the “charged” E63 at the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020

Mercedes introduced the current generation of the mid-size E-Class sedan (W213 generation) a little over three years ago, so a big update for the model can be presented before the end of the year or early in 2020. In the meantime, a prototype of the novelty was seen at the Nürburgring race track.

It seems that the observed prototype of the updated Mercedes-AMG E63 is “glued” to the road – it keeps well, even when passing high-speed turns. E63 has a camouflage film in front and behind – in particular, it is necessary to hide new headlights and taillights. But despite the disguise, we can still see a “good piece” of new graphics, similar to the latest models from the German brand.

Take, for example, LED daytime running lights, which, due to their boomerang shape, should remind you of cars such as the 4-door CLS and CLA coupes.

We do not see any changes in the new bumpers, but perhaps this is because in this particular prototype, seen at the Nürburgring, there were no modified details. In addition, the lack of a branded Panamericana false radiator grille also indicates that the test vehicle did not have a final appearance.

The “charged” performance of a business-class sedan is unlikely to receive a powerful 603-hp engine – the GT 63 S Four-Door Coupe is now equipped with such a coupe. I must say that the price gap between these two models is quite large. E63 S costs from 106,350 dollars, and the GT 63 S supercar starts at 159,000 dollars. This is a difference of almost $ 53,000 or almost a new C-class.
