Totally five copies of the special version of Carbon Theme from MSO will be built.
The British supercar manufacturer McLaren announced that its Special Operations unit (MSO) will present a special version of the Senna hypercar for the title Carbon Theme at the Geneva International Motor Show next week. The whole body of this novelty will be made of carbon fiber with a transparent lacquer and color scheme, which was at the helmet of the famous racer Ayrton Senna.
The body of each McLaren Senna hypercar is collected from 67 parts. To make all elements of the body of carbon, you need to spend about a thousand hours of working time. The application of a color scheme in the form of yellow accents requires another 250 hours. In addition, brake calipers are painted in a bright green hue of Laurel Green.
Inside the cockpit panels are trimmed with black Alcantara, which has a contrasting stitching, with inserts of yellow and green. Also of the features of the special version can be noted two-piece rims, which have a central nut. They are made of carbon composite and forged aluminum. A disc weighing 7.5 kilograms is 10% lighter than a standard analog.
Even in the equipment of the hypercar is a hydraulic suspension, active stabilizers of lateral stability, active aerodynamics, an exhaust system of Inconel and titanium, as well as carbon-ceramic brakes.
McLaren Senna Carbon Theme is driven by a four-liter turbocharged V8 engine with a power of 789 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The same motor is installed in each of the 500 planned and already sold copies of Senna. With it, the hypercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds.
