British company Lister is developing a new project Lightning based on the crossover Jaguar F-Pace. The future novelty will surpass on power all-road Lamborghini Urus. This is reported by the publication Top Gear with reference to an interview with the head of the company, Lawrence Whittaker.
According to the top manager, Lister pays attention to “setting up each element of the car” in order to achieve maximum performance. And the future Lightning will receive a modified 5.0-liter V8 engine with a compressor capacity of 666 horsepower. The same motor is installed in the latest Lister Thunder sports car based on the Jaguar F-Type.
Thus, Lightning will be more powerful than the new super-crossover Lamborghini Urus. Whittaker hopes that a lower curb weight will help achieve a maximum speed exceeding the Italian model’s figure of 306 km / h.
At the moment, the Jaguar F-Pace does not have a V8 engine in its range. However, the British manufacturer is preparing to debut a charged version of SVR with a motor. Its premiere can take place in early March at the international motor show in Geneva.
Super-crossover Lister Lightning can be submitted by September this year. The logic suggests that it will be based on the F-Pace SVR.
