Production of the compact compact crossover Lincoln will be launched in China in 2022
The company Lincoln plans to develop a compartmentalized compact crossover. The car will be one of five novelties, the production of which will be adjusted in China. This is reported by Reuters, citing a source inside the company. Assembly of the car should not begin before 2022.
Also in China, Lincoln is going to produce a hybrid crossover, for which the name Aviator was revived. The prototype of the future car was presented at the Geneva Motor Show this year and received a showroom with seven seats. The technical details of the hybrid powerplant are not yet given. It is assumed that its composition will include a petrol twin-turbo unit V6, which works in tandem with an electric motor.
The assembly of the car in China will be adjusted in late 2019 or early 2020. In the model range of the brand, the novelty is likely to be a replacement for the MKT crossover.
A little later in China will begin to produce a mid-size crossover Nautilus, which became a replacement for the model MKX. In the US, the base motor for this car was a two-liter 4-cylinder turbo with a capacity of 245 horsepower. In addition, will be available 2.7-liter six-cylinder unit family EcoBoost, issuing 335 hp. and 515 Nm of torque.
